I have thrown away my vice, Done away with paradise, See what's going on inside my mind..._____________________
Shadows of his past came flooding back encircleing him. He was forced once more to see the brutally mutilated forms of his mate and daughter, torn to the point of no recognition and left there on the floor to rot. The sight had turned his stomach then. and even now it still weighed heavily on his heart. Luna had been the only one for him, she was gone, and now he had to live with that fact.Yorick's firm resoluting answer seemed to have pleased Ulric, though with that lycan Grey could never tell. Instincts that were harshly earned warned him not to trust another soul easily ever again. He couldn't help but agree. Still it wasn't as if he would be able to leave freely. If he did leave then the only place he could go was Nyalcom, and they were rumored to be worse then all of the packs around the area.
Yorick hated the fact that he was inevitably stuck, and now duty bound to a cause that was not yet entirely his own. Obediantly to a point, he followed Ulric on the trail of the bear. Though as it always had been, he was simply watching his own skin, he was sure Ulric could take care of himself, and Grey being a newer and once loner couldn't have inspired any sort of protection from the Alpha.“Tell me Yorick,”Imediatly Yorick felt something claw at his gut. Something was telling him that whatever Ulric was about to incure, was not going to be for Yorick's benefit. He was on his guard in an instant, even before Ulric had the chance to ask his questions.
Though he certainatly didn't wish to insult Ulric, he wasn't really fond of the idea of just spilling out his life story. Unlike the others in the pack, he did not share the same blood as they did, he was not technically honor bound to "follow the leader" as they all must. Ulrics questions came quickly and with interest, though the last seemed to linger on his tounge then the rest. Taking a moment to think and let them hang in the air for a bit, he decided that it was probably better he did tell him, rather then have him at his throat over a simple matter like this one. Yorick began slowly, recalling those days in detail as if they were happening again as he spoke. " You know why I came here yes, I couldn't try anywhere else, though I'm appreciative..... Luna was my mate, my soul. I know now that those hunters had been near the house before there actual attack came, but I did not know then. I had been hunting for food to feed my young one Ellie. That night I returned to find them tore apart beyond recognition."
He momentarily stopped, his body remained with Ulric, but his eyes were locked on a sight that was long past. " They had gutted them like livestock. No they could not hope to fight back. Luna was much weaker then those brutes, and little Ellie was too young to know that she was a lycan, though Luna had tried to stop them anyway. She to me was my salvation. When I was younger she saw what I was, and she was not afraid of me. My parents both lycan had told me that humans were fearful, something to avoid, but she was diffrent. Rapidly I grew protective of her, and well I would never have willingly parted from her, I was happy. Thats why I hunted those two down. The slaughtering of them was worth every lycan alive and human haters chasing me, maybe even killing me. Revenge for them was worth it, my... my child was worth it."
Grey did not know why he had opened up to Ulric. It stil bothered him, and he knew that there was more to his questions then he was letting on. Yorick was unsure of what sort of questioing he was allowed to put to Ulric. Grey was not used to... pack customs in the ways of being social. Still it was his turn to be interested, in the response of the alpha male._____________________800: words.
