[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=4A6474] Annora walked quietly through the forest, the warmth of the sun spilled through the tops of the trees surrounding her. Her dark hair contrasting against her pale skinned complexion. As she walked she let her newly heightened senses explore the world around her. There was a loud roaring coming from ahead and she picked up the slightest scent of water. She was getting closer to her destination with each step and yet she found that the journey there, through the lively spring forest, was very enjoyable and she began wishing that her destination might have been just a little farther away. She looked down at herself and was slightly embarrassed at just how pale she looked. She normally wouldn’t be wearing something that showed this much of herself but the circumstances were just right. She twisted her head and tossed her hair back out of her face as she broke through the last line of trees and out onto the shore of the base of the Majestic falls. She had been dying to swim in the waters here since she had first laid eyes on the beautiful waterfalls.
Walking over to a fallen tree trunk that sat just far enough from the shore that there would be no chance of any accidental splashing reaching it and sat down. Reaching down, her hands swiftly undid the laces of her shoes and slipped the off her feet. She pulled her socks of exposing her feet to the breeze, which was comforting after her little hike out here. She hadn’t planned on making the journey in her human form but she had taken advantage of the time to relax and just pretend that she was back home and everything was normal again. Getting up from the fallen tree she paced slowly to the waters. Dipping one toe in she felt a no chill against her skin. This of course was a wolf thing. Cold didn’t seem to bite with the same power as it used to. She waded out into the waters until they were waist deep and then she dove forward letting the waters overtake and surround her. She stayed under as long as she could stand to, swimming down to the bottom and then letting herself float lazily back to the surface. As she broke the surface the sounds of the birds chirping came back and the silence of the deep was broken. She let herself float there as she looked around. The colors were so much more vibrant to her now that she was more than human. The greens and blues came together in such harmony in this place.
The sound of the falls seemed to be deafening but still she heard the other sounds of the forest. She grinned, ‘Perhaps this life isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.’ she thought happily as she took another deep breath before plunging back under the surface of the water and swam as close to the falls as she dared. The power of the current surged around from her and nearly overwhelmed her. She should have been scared but she just found it exhilarating and burst into laughter as she came bursting through the surface of the water. Wiping the water from her eyes she noticed something just off to her right and her head jerked swiftly in that direction to see someone there. Not that they were human, at least not fully. The light golden fur with cream colorings of this wolf were familiar to her but she didn’t recall having actually met the wolf. He was one of her fellow pack mates and Annora was feeling happy with her new wolf identity so she just smiled and waved at him, but that was all. She was still just a hair to timid and shy to actually start a conversation._____________________Word Count: 647
