[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=000000] The alpha male made his way through the old abandoned carnival. Nothing worked here anymore, it was an ancient relic built long before the time of the wolves. Back before the world changed into what it now was today. He breathed in deeply taking in all the scents around him. He was alone, he had agreed to meet the Rulin alpha one on one, and if Ulric was anything he was a man of his word. The wind blew gently ruffling his hair slightly. He looked up to the sun shining down and hardly a cloud in sight. He grinned at the thought of meeting the other alpha. What were they supposed to be accomplishing here anyway? No matter how things went Ulric already knew what the result would be, there would be answers for the encroachment on Veronti territory. This would not go unpunished and if the other thought that he could weasel out of it by talking him down he was sorely mistaken.
As he walked around he saw massive hulking beams of metal and buildings that were in ruin. Things that he had no idea what they did or how they did it. It was as if he were walking in an alien world that was beyond him. He thought of how his pack mates had cautioned him against going alone. What did they think would happen? Certainly Ulric could take anyone that the Rulin alpha brought with him if he did betray their agreement.
He was nearly to the agreed upon meeting place now and he could hardly contain his excitement. His blood boiled with the suggestion of things to come. If things went as he hoped they would there could actually be a war. He felt a shutter move through his body and he shook his head to clear his mind. It was not yet time to unleash the wolf. He needed to remain focused on the task at hand for now. The time to strike would come soon enough and then there will be no stopping the might of Veronti from taking Rulin down a peg or two. He thought of the encroachment onto Veronti territory. One of the Rulin pack had been caught red handed so to speak roaming his territory by a Veronti patrol. There was no denying what had happened and the other packs surely must have heard about it. Veronti would not look weak in front of any of them. He would show them all what happened to those who dared to trifle with the fierce pack. They had been around long before Rulin and they will be around long after Rulin's demise, if Ulric had anything to say about it.
Finally he had reached the agreed upon meeting place. A gaint wheel with carriages situated around the outside, something he was told was once called a ferris wheel. It was the largest landmark in the Carnival Lot and it offered a clear sight of approach from all sides. Ulric walked to the base of the great wheel and scanned his surroundings, still there was no sign of the other. He breathed deeply again, looking for the faint scent of his foe in the distance but still he came up with nothing. Perhaps the other had been to nervous to meet with him after all. Ulric couldn't blame him if he was, after all the Veronti alpha was not one to be messed with, not if one wanted to come out of the altercation alive. Ulric lifted his head to the sky and let out a wolf like howl from his human form.
"DON"T KEEP ME WAITING!!" He roared into the sky. Surely if Tuvio was anywhere nearby he would have heard the anger and hatred in the sound of the Veronti alpha's statement._____________________Word Count: 638
