Beneath the city, beneath the crime-ridden streets, lie our saviors. The mutants that humanity would reject if they found out of their existence. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been trained in the art of Ninjutsu by their master, Splinter. Splinter believes he knows of this clan terrorizing New York but doesn't understand why he does. Could it be that Hamato Yoshi's spirit lives on in this rodent sensei? Splinter has trained his four students, claiming them as his children, the same four children Hamato had lost to Saki's hand decades ago, to combat this evil force with everything he has taught them. But even the wise old rat knows that the outside world would fear and reject them and has advised them to rely on their stealth training so as not to be seen. Raphael was the first to venture topside and did so by taking a trench coat and fedora to mask what he truly is underneath.
The others soon joined him and utilized Raphael as their guide. Ever since they grew older, both in body and mentality, the brothers have enjoyed topside and often wander the streets in disguise to enjoy another topside favorite, that of pizza. They had even made friends over time, human friends. First, it was former Stockgen employee-turned-news reporter April O'Neil. But as time went on they made another friend, one whom Raphael considers his best bud - a former hockey player-turned-vigilante named Casey Jones. Through the years they have battled the worst that New York has had to offer. The Foot Clan, monstrous mutations created out of tragedy and science and even other anthropomorphic creatures who align themselves with the enemies. The turtles and their allies have formed a very strong bond not so easily broken.
In the darker part of New York, a seedy organization known as H.A.T.E. have began recruiting young, up-and-coming prejudice ignorants to join their ranks. They have advertised themselves as being 'for the people' but any further proof has yet to be seen. H.A.T.E. are devised of a bunch of mutant-fearing human beings armed to the teeth with weaponry, preparing to hunt down all mutants. But their prejudice may prove to be their downfall in the end.
Kitsune, a mysterious and supernatural being who has been alive for many decades, has been putting her primary goals into fruition. The mystic lover of Oroku Saki, Kitsune has implied time and time again that she knows Hamato Yoshi did not die that day; not like Saki had hoped. She has felt his presence for some time now and with The Foot coming once more into prominence the last few months she has secured her place at the top. This powerful witch has granted both herself and Oroku Saki the gift of immortality; though it is presumed she has always been around. Sharing his vengeance, Kitsune wants to destroy any remnants left from the feudal era and begin anew with her beloved, The Shredder.
Only time will tell what will become of this but the real question remains... Whose side are you on? Pick a side and join in on the fun of a new beginning!
