Bay looked up at him with wide eyes, completely discounting the smile on his face. "I'm not stupid, I know what a wolf is..." She paused and looked toward the village. She crossed her arms over her chest, part of her felt wolves were fairy-tales. Things of myth. But further still she knew that to be untrue, even if she had never seen one before. She longed to see a wolf, to know the truth behind the stories. "But I'm sorry... even if you did deserve it. From what I've heard is stupid for anyone to go hunting for wolves, that means huntin' for trouble. It's your own dumb luck," she snorted, a slight accent slipping with perfect timing.
"It's been a while..." she sighed, mood abruptly changing. "To be honest... I can't say. I'm not really a walking map. I left my home town when I turned sixteen. That was kind of adulthood for my family. I guess you could say I ran away really..." Her eyes lowered to the ground, "I don't regret my decision to be honest, it's just sad knowing you can't even name the place you were born."
Bay turned her eyes back to Draziar, "If I refrain from asking another question will you do the same courtesy?" It wasn't that her life was a secret but that she didn't understand why he cared so much, or why she was even answering his questions. It dawned on her not to long after her thoughts as to the possibility of both of them having traveled alone for some time. Company and conversation, that was the idea.
”Hunting!?” Draziar exclaimed as he gave her a rather incredulously look before he laughed deeply only to wince as his side tinged. ”My dear, I do not hunt wolves. I had been minding my own business when that heathen bared his fangs to me,” He gave a mild, dry smile only to give a light grin when he caught the accent in her voice. At her mood change, however, he eased his stance a moment and listened as she answered him. Left home at sixteen? That was such a young age and it only made Draziar really think about how different his kind was to the humans. Sixteen may have been adulthood for the humans, but to his kind that was still too young of a pup to be going out on their own; or so his own father had said. Hell, he and Ava staid with their father well into their twenties before Draziar was ever on his own; not that he went out on his own willingly. He gave her a soft look and when she looked at him he could only offer a mild, gentle look. Her question reached his ears easily and he gave another amused chuckle,”It’s possible, but I wouldn’t count on it.”
A bigger grin stretched his features, of course he was just teasing her, hoping to get her mind off of his previous question and made note not to bring up her family again if he could help it.

As Bay looked up she did not expect to see the soft expression on Draziar's face. It was different then his expressions so far. No longer cocky, sarcastic, or obnoxious, just sympathetic. She turned her eyes away from his face with a scowl on her own. She didn't need his sympathy, it wasn't like she'd made a bad choice.
Trying to ignore her sudden bad mood, she listened as he answered her last, aggravated question. "Oh how nice..." she mumbled at his reply.
Eyes lifting to the village only a few feet before their path her mood lightened a bit. She glanced at the man beside her out of the corner of her eye, "Have you ever been here before?" She certainly hoped he had, she needed to find someone decent to pick up some food, not to mention a place to sleep for the night.
A small voice in the back of her head wondered where the strange new person would go, if they would really split roads. Bay told herself she found him annoying, aggravating, and rather childish. Even with those accusations, she felt he had this sense of charm, no matter how annoying it was. She found herself to rather like him for his obnoxious manners. With a sigh she dismissed the idea of leaving on her own accord, if he however wanted to travel alone, no hard feelings to him on any account.
He mused over the scowl before cracking a small grin and turned his gaze back to the village just as they began to enter the village. Amber eyes watched a few kids go racing pass them laughing as they rebelliously ran from their frantic mother who was trying to get them out of the rain before they caught a cold and he couldn’t help, but give a soft chuckle. He gave a slow nod at her question as he slowed to a stop to turn and face her. ”I’ve been here a couple of times in my lifetime,” His answer was simple as he rested his free hand on his hip, curiously watching to see if she would go her own way. She really was intriguing, jumping between different emotions like that. First she seemed to be cursing his very existence just with a scowl, then she would flop entirely and start being nice. He tilted his head at her mention of needing food and he gave another charming smile, ”Well, I’ll tell you what. You go with me to get my side fixed up. I’ll show you the best places to grab up the yummiest food here in Thrinter.” He let the offer stand for a moment and simply waited for an answer. It was totally up to her if she wanted, or he could just go by himself and meet up with her later if that was the case.
Bay's attention was instantly grabbed as she stepped into the village and the buildings took her completely. It always surprised her, when she came into a new place, that so many years into the future they still had places like these. She remembered stories told to her about the old times, back when the world started. There weren't many and they all have several versions, but she loved them.
As the children ran past a smile lit up her face, she was certainly right about an easy-going, peaceful town.
All senses focused on the things around her, Draziar's voice startled her a bit. She was so used to traveling alone. Her eyes lifted to his face confused, why wasn't he ditching her? "I..." she stopped short, phrasing her words. "I meant... food for the road... I'm not really hungry right now..." she lied. [about the last part]
Once more she paused and stared at him, eager to see if he was antagonizing her. When she found the same amusement in her face she decided the answer was no, he was just being a pain in the ass. "You no... actually I tell you what. I don't do so good with blood... You go ahead. I'm sure I can get some directions..."
Honestly, she didn't want to leave him, but in a way she really wasn't to keen on sitting and watching him get poked. It was needles she didn't do. She wondered if she should ask him if he wanted to meet up again afterwards but she decided if he really did know the town, he'd probably find her somehow. He struck her as the kind of person that, if they put their mind to it, they could find a dead cat in a pile of bodies.
With a last glance before he could reject the idea she flinted off down the street and disappeared around the nearest corner, doing quite well in her flee. As she was away from him however, she found her thoughts a little fogged and this surprised her.
After a few minutes of searching she found someone who gave her decent advice on the better of the two food stores and went off in search to find it. On her way, trying to get that strange person out of her head, she went over things she needed, and things she might want. She didn't have much room but being a vegetarian made things difficult.
It happened quickly and before Draziar could say a thing Bay was scampering off into the village. A deep chuckle escaped him as he shook his head and watched her disappear around a few buildings. He tapped a finger against his hip before jumping at the sound of a shrill cry just around him. ”Draziar! What have you done to yourself this time?” An aged woman cried out as she was next to him instantly, forcing his hand away from his ripped side. Draziar lifted a brow as he scratched the back of his head with his blood covered hand on mere accident. Where had she come from? It wasn’t naturally for the ones around here to be able to sneak up on him like that. He whined when she promptly stood up straight and raised her arm and without a second hesitation she slapped the back of her hand against his side, shocking pain right up to his very skull. ”Jaiya! That hurts!” He cried in dismay quickly back pedaling away from the elder woman. Jaiya snorted as she pushed her copper graying hair from her face before promptly pushing her hands to her hips and tapped her foot at him. He pouted before sighing heavily, ”Fine fine! Lets go, I’ll let you shove your needles into me,”
[/b][/sup][/color] He huffed and the woman instantly brightened, grasped his arm and dragged him off to her home.
For at least twenty or more minutes Draziar lay on his side, arm propped up holding his head as he watched Jaiya sew at his side. The old woman was something else, always taking care of him when he showed up for the village. He was never sure why, but he figured it had to do with the son she last when she was younger. She had heated the needle so it would easily penetrate his otherwise tough skin. Of course she had washed it out and cleaned it, which wasn’t very pleasant in the least, but he took it gratefully. ”There you go honey. You know you should take more care of yourself!”[/b] Jaiya sighed exhasperately and Draziar only gave a soft chuckle as he rolled to sit up, testing the fine line of stitches. He smiled before standing up, ”I appreciate you taking care of me Jaiya. I don’t know what I would have done without you,”[/color][/sup] He smiled dipping down a pressed a kiss to her cheek. Jaiya gave a soft laughed and swatted at him, ”So tell me you ol dog you. Who was that pretty little girl you came into town with,”[/sup][/color] She wiggled her brows at Draziar and the man could only find himself to laugh.
”Why, just my latest meal dear Jaiya,”[/color][/sup] A fang filled smirk slid over his mouth, darkening his features into a rather sinister expression as his fangs were exposed to the old woman. Jaiya gasped before she once more swatted at him. ”You just get your butt right outta here with that kind of talk!”[/color][/sup] There was laughter in her voice as she quickly chased Draziar from her home. Draziar laughed as he raced out the door before turning and waving at her. ”I’ll come by before I leave the village deary, but don’t wait up for me,”[/color][/sup] He winked only to laugh at her response. He flashed a grin and headed off, making his way into the village. It only took him a few minutes before he found Bay’s scent and easily he made his way through the village. The rain was still falling, but it was more of a sprinkle now which either meant it was going to slow up for a bigger storm later on; Either way he wouldn’t mind. Soon enough he caught site of her just going into one of the food stores and with a grin he hurried along and slipped inside. Without hesitation he strolled right over to her and with a grin spoke, ”I see you’re getting around the Village just fine.”[/sup][/b]
