One Lone Girl

Slim body moved in the darkness of the town's walk ways. This way she preferred as it was. She didn't like being around people much now days. But she did like to learn as much as she could by watching her kind that lived in the packs. She was sure to stay out of sight of any; only staying withing a couple yards from their lands. This place she knew was welcomed to anybody but nothing to exciting was to be expected. As she walked the street she saw a couple lamp posts on.

Quietly moving toward them she stopped looking around and then heard scuffling from a alley. Leyah let her keen hearing kick in and listened more moving toward it. Placing herself against the side of a building sunk to the ground and looked around the corner. Squinting in the darkness she looked closely only seeing a cat and snorted standing up again. Looking back toward the other building she thought she saw some curtains shut close. Leyah snorted and walked into the alley going into the trees.

"Might as well get something to eat" she thought. Besides if she didn't catch anything she could always come back here and get a snack from the diner. Letting her real insincts take over she shifted. Then she stretched out before trotting off deeper through the trees. Catching the scent of a deer herd she stopped. Aleyah had mostly asted on deer when she was with her mother rarely going into towns. Moving quickly she tracked the herd down being sure to stay downwind of them. But her paw snapped a twig and the herd took off.

"Dang...i can't hunt on my own for anything in this wilderness" she thought changing back. Slowly turning around she started back for the town. "I'm just one lone girl on my own" she said softly not sure if anybody else would hear her if they were close enough. Then she heard rumbling from above and knew it was rain. She wasn't in a rush to get back to the town and as the rain started to come down she smirked a little. Walking back out the trees soak and wet she looked around for anybody that might had come in the short time she was gone.

The large well dressed muscular form of Gethro made his way around the town. He towered slightly over most of the humans, and his bulk along made some hurry out of his way. Not that he cared much, if someone didn't move then he usually made them one way or another. Granted unless he was fighting them, he wouldn't barrel over them or stomp on them or anything, but glares and death threats were enough to make most move. Rays of light glinted off his brown tinited glasses, the silver rimming managing to brighten his features. His Dark grey winter coat clung close to his form, his pants a dull shade of navy blue accented the jacket. He liked dressing in style, and showing off his physique, his power. His hands were neatly tucked in hsi pockets and his walk was one of little concern. He was done making the usual rounds in Havren territory, and he had a habbit of frequenting Thrinter after his duty. He was most definatly not a fan of the humans that liked to hang around, but he could at the very least put up with them. Afterall he had proven at the local brewers that he would and could beat up anyone, drunk or sober that dared start a fight with him. Gethro was cautious of his image, and so never used his full power unless he had to. It attracted too much attention, and he prefered to keep out of the popularity. Last thing he needed was a scolding from the new alpha female of Havren, Emma, just because he felt like knocking some idiot's teeth in. In truth most deserved it, but who was he to judge. Turning onto a new street he noticed how baren the village was. There was hardly anyone around. Squinting up ahead, he made out the figure of a woman. Curious, he snuck over and followed her out of the village using his nose as a guide and staying well behind her. In a few moments of clearing the village the woman shifted into a black wolf. Gethro watched perplexed and a little agitated. This was a new lycan, he had never picked up her scent before. However she wasn't trying to cause trouble. Watching her stalk unsuccessfully after a group of deer, he noted that she was attempting to hunt. Rubbing his chin in deliberation, he wondered if it would be wise to approach her. He could certainly take care of himself if she became aggressive, and it didn't look like humans were around, at least not in the particular area they were in. Once his mind was made up and he was about to change, he jumped as she bolted out of the woods and charged back into the streets of the village in human form complaining and ranting about her hunting abilities. Standing and crossing his arms, he walked out, hands still in his pockets, and approached the girl from down wind, so that she wouldn't be able to tell he was a lycan like herself straight away."Something troubling you? Perhaps I can be of help?" _____________________ 600words.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=000000] _____________________ Her body nearly soaked she walked back in the open and about to turn a corner when she heard "Something troubling you? Perhaps I can be of help?" She sniffed spinning around seeing a male. Slightly sniffing again she couldn't really tell if he was a Lucan or not. A slight glare crossed her face as she wasn't sure but she thought "He only did ask a question" but then again Leyah wasn't the one to really talk to people.  Lifting her head just a bit she smirked saying as kindly as she could without a grimace "Not unless you count on having a hunt go as you planned" She blinked while breathing in calmly and said "Unless you catch lunch for me" A sly smile crossed her face and she turned a corner seeing a slightly broken down cart. Looking over her shoulder she jumped on it then to building barely making a sound.  Aleyah looked down to the ground then backed away going from roof-top to another. With rain still falling she slipped on one and fell off but was able to land on her feet. Her eyes scanned around before she slipped back in the trees. She didn't know where the male came from or if he was a lycan. And she didn't want to find out. Leyah raked her hands through her hair and shifted. Shaking her fur she searched for a river and soon found one and sat down sighing. Her stomach growled in response to her not eating. _____________________ 262:words.

Then again she was alone. He wondered how long she had been alone. Gethro found it very hard to keep reminding himself that she was not of a pack, therefore he should not be assiting her, especially when she never asked for help in the first place. Blinking he watched as she smirked and practically threw a reply to him about how he could catch her lunch if he really wanted to help her. It kind of caught him off guard to be honest. The way in which she said it left him scowling. Truthfully he could catch her something rather easily if he wanted to, but once again he wondered why he cared. Then in two fluid movements she was up in the air and on the rooftops of the village. He watched her dash off, knowing that he couldn't help her if she ran away from him. Obvioulsy she wanted nothing to do with him, which was fine with him. She didn't seem dangerous, so he assumed that she would not harm anyone in the village, though it wasn't Havren territory. She continued running for a while, then he watched as she slipped and fell a little ways off from him. He couldn't tell if she was hurt or not, and felt that since he witnessed her fall it would be irresponsible to just leave. Looking both ways down the street, and seeing no one around, he started to shift. His bones bent and cracked on instinct into place and a golden coat of fur replaced his skin, and he soon stood one all fours. His eyes still carried there dark brown pigment. Crouching down he flexed his muscles and jumped all at once up ontp the rooftops. He figured a large wolf would upset the villagers so he took the girl's path on the roof. Remembering her slip, he was careful to maintain his footing, though it was much easier for him since he wasn't soaked to the bone like she was. Upon reaching where he though she was, he jumped down and started sniffinf, trying to locate her. _____________________ 486 words.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=000000] _____________________ She looked at her reflection in the water and breathed in calmly and spotted a fish. Blinking she stood up her  eyes patiently watching and she saw it go by again. Her jaws opened and she ducked her head in the water and came up. She could feel the fish wriggling in her jaws and closed them tighter and felt it grow still.  Aleyah opened her mouth and let it fall out. She wasn't a fish fan but it was something to eat. Rolling her eyes she bent down and started to it. When she finished she sniffed looking around as a breeze started and then went over to some bushes. It was little to do for the rain but a little sometimes was best. Digging for a little bit she then layed down in her little hole. Letting her eyes roam around for a bit she sighed drifting off but let her body be tensed and ears alert.   Once she heard a twig snap and she opened one eyes but dozed off again curling up tighter. Her black fur blending in with the darkness. She had heard therein slacken up just a bit but didn't move. She warm and toasty by then.  _____________________ 0:words.
