Jen headed to the creek. She hadn't any idea why, but it was quiet there and she could think clearly.
She climbed the slippery rocks carefully. The air was cold and sent shivers down her spine but she ignored it. She dropped her bag beside her and just stared out at the creek. The morning mist hung over the ground and each time she exhaled, small puffs of steam rose up from her mouth and nostrils. She was wearing a military style coat and black gloves that had the fingers exposed. She had on a hat and was sipping a large cup of hot chocolate.
She loved to just come here and to be alone. She hadn't met anyone else from her pack but she hoped that would change soon.
Jen took a sip of the hot chocolate, feeling its warmth spread down to her toes. She sighed in contentment. There weren't any out here at this hour, so she had the creek to herself basically. She took another sip and wondered what her mom was doing at this moment. Her heart gave a little squeeze. She sometimes got homesick and wished she could go visit her mom,
Jen reached up and tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear as she sat, watching the mist swirl around the creek and tree trunks. The air was slightly chilly, but with her coat she never felt it anyway. Being a werewolf you tended not to worry about being cold or felt it much.

This was turning into quite an interesting day for Yorick. First he had practically been forced into a hunt with the alpha male Ulric, which was less then pleasent because the alpha had asked him about his past. His past was one thing he would have rathered had been left untouched. He certainatly did not want to give Ulric any prompting to make his own life miserable, but when he was asked about his now deceased human mate Luna, he almost attacked him.
Now he had been charged with of all things discovering where the alpha female had run off to. Ulric had insisted that Yorick go to find her since, he knew the lands outside the pack having onced lived outside of the Veronti pack. This flustered him to no end, since not only did he have to find her, he had to deal with the rest of the pack hating him for being chosen in the first place. He did not treasure the possibility of being Ulric's errand boy.
He had never really talked to the alpha female, he wondered if she was half as irritating as Ulric. With a grunt he made his way out of Veronti territory. He was in human form, and was wearing his light dusty grey jacket with dark army style cargo pants. On his back gleamed two broad swords. He quickened his pace, and leapt over a fallen tree. His dark hair turned grey, and his features became more like a wolfs, as he began to transform. With several snaps and cracks he was a running wolf. On all fours he burst through the territory trampling whatever was in his way. Of course if she was ok he knew that he was probably meant to stay there and watch her or something.
Sniffing out her trail, he soon found himself near Guilden creek. He tried to scent her, but the mist and humidity in the air almost made that impossible. Relying on sight and sound alone, he made his way to the creek. Once there he saw her, she seemed to be relaxing and in general having a decent time. Yorick scowled. Nice one of us is having fun. Changing back to human form, he walked out from the trees and showed himself. "Ulric sent me looking for you." He said before any real questions were asked. Choosing a sturdy looking tree he leaned against it with his arms crossed waiting for her reply.
Jennifer raised her eyes to see Yorick. She slowly got up.
"Oh? Is there something wrong?" she asked him curiously taking a few steps toward him. She slipped her hands into the pockets of her jeans. A gentle breeze caught her hair blowing it gently back. She had finished her hot chocolate. and was now leaning against the nearest tree as well.
She reached up and tucked a few strands of her hair behind her ear and studied Yorick. She hoped nothing was wrong.
"I'm Jen. I'm not sure if you ever got my name," she added softly and remained leaning against the tree. She saw the sunlight dip behind a few clouds, briefly engulfing them in semi darkness. She wondered what on earth Ulric had wanted. As far as she knew, she hadn't done anything wrong. Perhaps it was just a simple thing he was seeking her out for.
She felt bad that Yorick had to come out after her.
"I hope I didn't inconvienence you in any way?" she said with a concerned expression on her face as she waited patiently for him to respond. Jen was the adventurous type and loved beind on her own sometimes. Just to think .[/blockquote]

Well she certainatly doesn't look evil. At least not as pesky looking as Ulric anyway. No her demeanor is more angelic and innocent. I wonder how she ever ended up as Ulric's mate? Yorick tried to stop himself from thinking about the questions that sprang up from such a diffrent appearance then he'd been expecting from the mate of the alpha male.
She just seemed delicate...where as Ulric was soo, not delicate. He almost laughed at the notion."No nothing is wrong persay. Ulric just wanted to know where you'd run off, too. Natrually he decided to send me, probably as a punishment of sorts. Not that it really matters." Grey was being slightly sarcastic, though ironically he was trying very hard not to be. "No I never heard it from you, though rumor flies around the pack. Though I'm a bit of an outsider, I heard your name from Ulric." Trying to make things less awkward for himself he hurried with her questions."No it wasn't an inconvience. We don't have to leave of course until your ready." Her being the alpha, he really didn't have much choice in the matter of waiting for her. However it did make him smile knowing that it would keep Ulric's order on the wait.
