He looked at the female watching her reaction. He knew that she would be kind of surprised. He did not really know what was so different about this female. Maybe it was the way that she did not turn away from him when he got hateful. He could never say for certain what it was. If the female thought that he was kind now she should see when he was truly trying to be kind. He was trying to be nice to her though. He felt that maybe he could trust her by he did not know the reason why.’’ yes.’’ he said simplely to his question.
Getting him to trust her completely would be a problem though. He was not the most trustworthy wolf around . He listened to her as she answered the question. He was glad that she was not the kind who wanted to ask questions and not have any asked to her. He walked around her thinking carefully about his next question.’ ’ okay then. I wish for you just to tell me a little about yourself. You know just a little of what you are like. I also would like to know if you are from a pack or by yourself.’’ he said watching her face for a reaction now.
Aleyah stood still as she saw him get up and walk around her then ask her if she would tell him a little about herself and if she was from a pack or alone. "A little about myself" she thought. What was there to tell him? From what her mother described her as. "Well" she began still thinking. "From my own thoughts I'd say I'm not the kinda person that would hang around humans let alone our kind sometimes. Some of our kind might describe me as being independent and loyal....which I wouldn't deny" she finished.
Looking at the sky she breathed in steadily saying "And to your next question..." she went over to the bush she came out of and layed down looking back at him "I am definitely alone...and always will be I guess" she said with a slight chuckle. Leyah think about that for a moment, she really wasn't sure even if she wanted to be alone anymore though she had been since she left her single parent mother and finding out that she died.
So basically yea she was all alone. Not any known family, no siblings, nothing. Laying her head down she pushed away that feeling that always made her feel bad and said "Anymore questions besides those?" with a slight smirk. Another breeze came through and she breathed in the cool air making her relax more.
He could tell that she had to think a little about his question. He knew that not many others could say a lot about themselves. Even he could not tell a lot. He listened to what she said. He could see her point in not going near humans. In his eyes they were nothing but trouble. Too many times he had been chased by their kind. ‘’ That is not a bad thing. In my mind it just means that you can take care of yourself with out having to ask for help. ‘’ he said . He then sat down not to far from when she landed down.
When she told him that she thought that she would always be alone he just frowned. That was the way that he had always felt. He had not lost his parents but he kept himself so distanced from everyone it just came naturally to him. If seemed to him that the female was not too sure about her statement.’’ As long as you trust yourself you do not need anyone else to guide you. Of course it dose get lonely.’’ he said with a sigh. He could often feel the weight of wanting someone to talk to and confide in. it was just that he did not want to let them in his world.
He one again picked up the sent of the deer that he smelt before. He was hungry now. Maybe the female was up for a little hunt now. He would not really care if she went or not . All he knew was the fact that he wanted to eat something soon. He saw the female lay her head down. He had to kind of wonder what she was thinking about. ‘’ Not right now. Unless you want to hunt with me. ’’ he said. He was not in a bad mood anymore he was kind of starting to kind of like this female the more he got to know her.
Leyah heard him reply "That is not a bad thing. In my mind it just means that you can take care of yourself with out having to ask for help." she nodded saying "True but when getting into trouble that's way to big for you it'd be good to have a friend or two to back you up?" Then she saw him sit down and say as long as she trusted herself she didn't need anybody else but it did get lonely sometimes.
A slight smirk crossed her face then disappeared as she thought "Still though even if yourself on what to do you would always need a second opinion" She came from her thoughts as she heard him say "Not right now. Unless you want to hunt with me." Picking her head up she thought for a moment then nodded slightly and stood up stretching her muscles. "Sure why not....but might I warn you I'm not much of the hunter type" she said with a slight smile
He smiled as he watched her. He did not care if she was not a good hunter. He could more then make up for whatever she lacked. He had lived his whole life finding his own food and learning what he could and could not eat. He was a good hunter but he did take more time then most. He gave a smiled when he hared her ask if you really need someone if you got into big trouble. That was true but in his mind he could handle anything that life wanted to thow his way.’’ Was that an offer ?’’ he asked with a smile.
He was happy to hear that the female wanted to go with him. He did not know what was so special about the female but there was something about her that made him want to be around her. Never in his life had he felt that kind of feeling. He tried to force the feeling away from his as he sniffed the air. He could smell a deer nearby. If they were quiet enough they would be able to catch it before it got away.’’ That is okay with me. If you want to come then we had better go while our prey is still close. ’’ he said with a frown now
She heard him say "Was that an offer?" with a smile. Her ears perked at the question and she smiled back walking toward him and slightly whispered "Only if you want it to be?" and turned away waving her tail in his face. Her eyes went back to him as she jumped into the bushes and heard him say "That is okay with me. If you want to come then we had better go while our prey is still close." Leyah popped her head back out the bushes "Come on then" she said agreeing with him.
Leyah's eyes grew bright and she slightly giggled ducking her head back in the bushes. Her eyes went wide. "Did I just giggle?" she thought. Shaking her head "No...not at all" she told herself. It had been a while since she last heard herself giggle. Taking a breath in she could smell the deer not far away. She poked her head out the bushes again looking at Quentin.
She couldn't help it but there was something about him. Out of nowhere he had made her giggle which she hadn't done since she had fallen for a boy some months ago. She looked back at Quentin for a moment wondering. Was she falling all over again? In other words, was she beginning to let her feelings show again? Snorting slightly she shook head turning to follow the scent of the deer.
